How to get to Dewey
Our wedding will be located along a charming, mile-long strip nestled uniquely between the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Bay. Whether you're traveling by air, train or car, finding your way to our slice of the Delaware shore is simple.
Flying In
Dewey’s nearest airports are regional airports Salisbury Regional Airport (SBY), primarily serviced by American Airlines, and Wilmington Airport (ILG), primarily serviced by Avelo Airlines. Salisbury is approximately a 1 hour driving time from Dewey, while Wilmington is about 1 hour 30 minutes.
Other major hubs like Philadelphia International (PHL), Baltimore Washington International (BWI), Reagan Washington National (DCA) and Dulles International (IAD) are also nearby. These major international airports are approximately 2 to 3 hours away by car.
Taking the Train
If you’re near Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor, you can take the Acela or the Northeast Regional to the Joseph R. Biden Jr. Railroad Station in Wilmington, DE. The station is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes driving time from Dewey.
Driving Down
Dewey Beach is your final destination. Head East till you hit the Atlantic, then you’re in the right spot. The exact coordinates are 38.6929°N, 75.0746°W.
Where to stay in Dewey
Dewey offers a contained, small-town atmosphere and a peaceful, get-away-from-it-all feel you won't find anywhere else. That’s why Meagan’s family has been visiting Dewey for generations.
Dewey Beach, along with neighboring Rehoboth, are fantastic towns for renting a house for a few days, and you will find plenty of listings on sites like Airbnb, VRBO, and local rental agencies.
Our Recommendation: We highly recommend looking for rentals near Dickinson Avenue in Dewey Beach to be within easy walking distance of the reception at the Hyatt Place, the beach, and all of Dewey's activities.
Stay where the reception will be held! The Hyatt Place is located right in Dewey, making it easy to enjoy the weekend with minimal driving.
To Book Our Room Block (April 10-12):
